Mr. Zakir Hossain is a highly skilled and experienced professional with expertise in a range of areas, specializing in ISP infrastructure, communication and network management, operations, service management, and disaster recovery. He holds a relentless curiosity for technology and a strong drive to create solutions that make a difference. Mr. Hossain has established himself as a highly accomplished and respected IT professional with over 13 years of experience in Telecommunications and fibre network optics. Throughout his career, he has gained a reputation for excellence in his field, earning numerous certifications and implementing cutting-edge technologies to achieve business goals.
In terms of his technical expertise, Mr. Hossain has a strong knowledge of telecom services, planning, costing, and Implementation and is experienced with telecom transmission equipment installation and maintenance, along with a solid understanding of change management and process modelling.
Mr. Hossain began his career in 2009 as Senior Engineer – Access Network with ADN Telecom Limited, Dhaka, Bangladesh, his area of expertise being in Fibre optics, network engineer (Telecommunication Network). Here he was responsible for operational fault detection, identification, and rectification, Site Survey, Link Budget Calculation, Installation, Maintenance, Troubleshooting, FON Team coordination and Network Operation Supervision.
In 2013, he joined Kay Telecommunications Ltd in Dhaka, Bangladesh as the Assistance Manager – Transmission & NOC. His area of expertise being STM- xx level Fiber Optic network planning, installation, configuration and maintenance usingHuawei (Metro 1000/1500) and Huahuan, China products, and working with NTTN Operator for Underground Fiber Network shifting, test, implementation.
Soon after he rejoined ADN Telecom Limited, but this time as the manager of Network Infrastructure, where he is currently involved as well. Over here his responsibilities and expertise include FTTX technology, Operation & Maintenance, Project Management/ Co- Ordinator, Network Infrastructure. Managing FTTX, SDH, Global MPLS, IPLC, Domestic connectivity using products of world-renowned manufacturers like Huawei, TEJAS, Huahuan, TAINET etc. and dealing with International Carrier Singapore Telecom Ltd (Singtel), TATA Communication Ltd and Orange Business Service for International Services.
Mr Zakir holds a B.sc in computer science and engineering from the University of Comilla, Bangladesh. He also holds a Diploma in computer science and engineering from NYDASA Institute of Science and technology.
Along with these, Mr. Zakir has numerous professional certifications to his credit, which includes: Advanced Certificate for Management Professional (ACMP) 4.0 IBA, from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh, Dhaka. Fiber Optic MUX Operation and Maintenance Huawei Technologies (BD) Ltd Bangladesh Dhaka. DXR 700 Microwave Equipment Installation & Maintenance Stratex Networks Bangladesh, Dhaka. Mikrotik Router Configuration Pavel Institute Bangladesh, Dhaka.
Mr Zakir also has a good understanding of Microsoft Office, computer assembling and maintenance, troubleshooting hardware and software problems, installing and configuring peripherals, components, and drivers, and installing software and applications to user standards.
He is well-known for his unwavering dedication to maintaining the highest levels of professionalism, accuracy, and hard-work which is evidently visible from his highly accomplished career and professionalism in telecommunications, fibre optics and system and network administration.
